Rhapsody Reinvented

Hi, I'm Bethany Edgett, and I created this blog to write about a passion and favorite subject of mine-music. It has always been a part of my life. My parents are both musicians, so I was exposed to great music at a very young age. I have also been playing the trumpet since the fourth grade. I participated in several different groups all throughout high school and currently play in the band and jazz band at Eastern. Whether I am performing music or blasting it on my computer, I can never get enough. I enjoy listening to anything from classical to classic rock. One of my all-time favorite classic rock songs is Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. Its original composition and incredible harmonies form, in my opinion, an epic song.

A brass ensemble called Mnozil Brass performed a version of Bohemian Rhapsody that is incredible. I am pretty sure most of you have never heard of them. I hadn't either until a couple of years ago, when my dad took me to a trumpet conference at Rowan University. To say that this group was mind-blowing would be an understatement. I have never been so amazed and entertained at the same time. These performers are strikingly original, hilarious, and musically flawless. They put on an hour show which combined incredible music and great comedy. Seeing them live was an experience I'll never forget. So, I wanted to share a clip with you of Mnozil Brass's rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody. Thanks for reading and enjoy!
